I don't have an inclination to publish my thoughts in a public place, honestly. I don't necessarily fully understand why people do so, other than for personal gain, whether that be monetary, social, or emotional satisfaction. Those are justifiable reasons, but when motivated by those factors, at what point is the internal monologue distorted? The second the words leave your brain, their true intention can be reinterpreted in any which way. What do we have to gain from saying anything profound, then? Even if a truly "original" idea is proposed, so many of us feel an inclination to reject what is foreign to us. The banality of our perspectives is something I want to explore, as it is fascinating to see the different scopes of people's views on the world. At the same time, I haven't met anyone who holds a similar set of intrinsic beliefs to mine. It may be due to what was mentioned earlier regarding the misalignment of our thoughts and our true feelings, from either party, at that. It feels facile to concede opinions and move on, knowing even trying to build to that point with another individual may fail at any time. Alas, I hold out hope and align myself with those who at least seem to share the value of exploring.
